Elenite is a holiday resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, north of Sveti Vlas and Sunny Beach (7 km) and 45 km from Burgas, situated on the most south-eastern slopes of the Balkan Mountains. Its construction began in 1985 to become today an attractive sea resort for many tourists. It is a part of the so-called Bulgarian Riviera. The good infrastructure, the combination of sea and mountain climate and beautiful surroundings create good conditions for summer vacation. Overall, this is a luxurious sea resort where four-star hotels, located close to the beach, are prevailing. Further into the resort there are picturesque vacation resorts with excellent furnished villas and bungalows which are preferred by groups and families with children seeking peace and cosiness. Around all the hotels in Elenite there are parks and gardens that allow a nice walk after the beach. In these walks one may frequently see passing rabbit, deer, a small monkey, parrot or peacock. They are free and without the limits of the yards in order to complement the pleasant feeling of the visitors. Children are looked after by entertainers who offer various shows and events, and there is also a kindergarten. The restaurants at the resort are various and will satisfy every taste and budget. Elenite is situated in a quiet picturesque bay with a nice beach about 800 m long with sunbeds, umbrellas and green fields around. The sea water is clear and the bottom lowers gradually. On the beach one may practice water sports, such as jet skiing, windsurfing, water skiing, pedalo, parasailing, water banana boat, beach volleyball, and anglers may go fishing. The resort offers the opportunity to practise more than 20 different sports not only in summer but also in the colder seasons, such as tennis, horse riding and so on. Elenite is located in an area surrounded by forests where nature lovers may go walking and there are excursions to the rivers of Ropotamo, Kamchia, to Nessebar, Sozopol and cape Emine, organized by the complex.
