Sinemorets is one of the southernmost sea resorts of Bulgaria. It is a preferred holiday spot for everyone who loves the unique nature and peacefulness of that area. One of the most beautiful places of Sinemorets is the estuary of the river Veleka, which upon flowing into the sea forms a fascinating liman - a lagune separated from the sea by a reef of sand. This beach is famous as the Kosata beach, the North Beach or simply the beach at the estuary of Veleka. To the south of Sinemorets is located Butamyata beach - the only guarded beach of the resort. Further on to the south are located the fishermen wharf St Yani, the Korabite locality, beach Lipite, the Canyon locality famous for its interesting rock formations, beach Lipite. After them is situated the famous beach Silistar (7-8 km from Sinemorets). The whole zone from Sinemorets till Rezovo to the south is a protected area called Silistar - a wet coastal zone with natural dense forest, rare and protected birds and flora species. There is an eco trail along the banks of river Veleka and opportunities for boat rows in the river and the sea, for horseback riding, pony or cart rides, etc.
