Polomie Lodge

Polomie Lodge is located in the village of Ivanovo at 18 km. from Rousse. It is owned by the family of Kath and Allen Maher from England. They have been overwhelmed by the generosity and hospitality of Bulgarians, their traditions and customs, the beautiful nature. Therefore in 2005 they have bought Polomie Lodge and moved to live in Bulgaria. The house and its yard are turned into a piece of heaven where every guest will be cordially welcomed and comfortably accommodated. The lovely proprietors will make sure their guests have a great time.

Polomie Lodge consists of four buildings amidst a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. The main house is recently renovated with a refurbished interior which wonderfully combines the traditional style of the old Bulgarian house with all modern conveniences. The main house may accommodate a maximum of eight guests.

The second building is a bungalow suitable to accommodate from two to five people. It is bright and affable with modern and luxurious furnishing. The French doors of the bungalow lead off to the yard and the pool.

The third house provides two additional rooms for guests with all necessary comforts for a pleasant stay. The rooms have wonderful views of the pool and the garden.

In the fourth building is situated the cafe. Here is served the breakfast as well as some light meals and dinner on request by the guests. Besides European cuisine the hosts offer home-made pastries and cakes.

The six rooms are located in the main house and in one additional building of the complex. They are bright and cozy with modern furniture and private bathrooms with showers and bath tubs.

The bungalow is suitable for accommodating a couple or a family with kids. Its capacity is from two to five guests. In the bedrooms there are double beds and wardrobes. The living room is furnished with sofas and coffee table. It has an adjoining dining corner with table and chairs.

The hosts may organize different entertainment activities like tasting typical Bulgarian food and wines, visits to the caves of the region, walking tours in the natural reserve Rusenski Lom, fishing, boat trips along the river Danube, bird watching, excursions to historic and cultural landmarks in the city of Rousse and the environs.
