Hadjigergevata Guest House

The village of Jeravna is the largest architectural reserve in Bulgaria with over 200 well-preserved wooden houses built before or during the Bulgarian National Revival period. The Hadjigergevata House is a part of this complex. It was built more than 250 years ago by hadji Gergy - educationist and a rich craftsman. For those who want to see and feel the authentic atmosphere of Bulgaria during its national revival period, the Hadjigergevata House is the best place to do so.

To reach the house guests must pass picturesque and narrow cobblestone streets. Upon entering through the gate of the house guests will see that everything is preserved in its almost original state despite the fact that the house has been entirely restored. The cobblestone yard, the high stone wall, the wooden beams and the hand-made wood-carving, the interior decoration and the furnishing - everything is kept in its authentic or almost authentic state to the utmost extent.

The Hadjigergevata House may accommodate maximum 15 guests in a total of six rooms. The rooms are spacious and bright, simple furnished. They are decorated with skillful wood-carving on the walls and ceilings. The house is locally heated. It is provided with a hydrofor installation which guarantees constant supply of drinking water. In a separate building next to the main house are the dining room and the kitchen. Notwithstanding the authentic atmosphere, the house is equipped with all modern conveniences. The house keepers are ready to prepare specialties from the Bulgarian and international cuisine. The pretty garden of the Hadjigergevata House is vast and well-kept. Right next to the wooden gate there is enough space to park several cars.

The hospitable house keepers will readily make sure that their guests are not bored during their stay in Jeravna.
