House Vasil

House Vasil is for everyone who loves the beauty and peacefulness of the mountain, the comfort of a real home, the delicious meals and the merry surrounding of one's family and friends. The house is situated in the village of Dobarsko, famous for its 30-meter high waterfall called Shtrokaloto as well as for the healing powers of the water of the holy spring of the church St. St. Teodor Tiron and Teodor Stratilat. From here are revealed unique views of Rila, Pirin and the Rhodope mountains and guests may easily visit the local landmarks.

House Vasil is located in a three-storey house. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room and dining corner with sofas, armchairs, internet connection, coffee table, eating table and chairs, fireplace and TV set with 14+2 seats. Here guests may entertain themselves on the internet or with computer games. On the ground floor is also located the completely equipped kitchen with refrigerator and stove. The house keepers can prepare unique local dishes like shupla, banitsa, buhti, katmi, chomlek, kavarma, salads and others. There is a private bathroom on the floor.

On the second floor of the house are located the five double rooms and the mansard suite for the guests. House Vasil can accommodated a total of ten guests. The magnificent garden of the house is suitable for children's games and for relaxing in the fresh air.

The housekeepers may organize for additional payment a folklore program performed by one of the members of the groups of the unique Grandmas from Dobarsko, demonstration of knitting techniques and especially the makrame technique, demonstration of weaving in the crafts studio At Deshka's, short and long excursions, picnics.

One of the double rooms of House Vasil is furnished with a bed type Prista, another double room has a standard double bed. Both rooms have private bathrooms and TV sets. Another pair of double rooms share one bathroom and each has a TV set with cable television. The fifth double room is the "mattress-over-mattress" type, which may be fitted as a standard double room. It also boasts a private bathroom and a TV set. All rooms have terraces with beautiful views and are heated with wood-burning stoves.

Besides private rooms House Vasil offers a mansard suite, which has four single beds, small living room with sofas, terrace, secret places for children's games, private bathroom with shower and WC. All rooms are locally heated.

Among the main landmarks of the village of Dobarsko and its region is the church St. St. Teodor Tiron and Teodor Stratilat built in 1614, the 19 sentury church Sretenie Gospodno, the chapels St. Ilia, Kopana church, St. Mother of Christ, the Shtrakaloto waterfall and other. You can arrange picnics and walking tours on the beaten track to all interesting places the region can offer.

House Vasil is located in the village of Dobarsko, on the south mountainside of Rila. The villages is situated 14 km north of Banya, 18 km north-east of Razlog and 17 km north of Bansko.
