Slaveeva River Forest Park is located on the territory of Aytos. It includes 422 decares of forest, shaped like a garden park and it is a favourite place for recreation of the town residents and visitors. Its name comes from the pretty songs of the nightingales living here. The forest park includes the natural landmarks the Three Brothers and the Genger Protected Area where the plant of the same name is growing, also known as spiny Astragalus. There are good conditions for fun in the park. There is a wall for climbers, playground, pond, quiet alleys. There is an open-air stage which hosts the annual folk festival of "Slaveevi nights" held in honour of the eminent citizen of Aytos the composer Philip Koutev. Lovers of sport and recreational fishing may go along the main alley of the Park of Slaveeva River to the dam, where they can practice their hobby. There is also a zoo in the park which is home to rare and exotic animals and in front of its entrance there is a huge area provided for children's entertainment. There are also additional attractions such as playgrounds, bike paths, terrariums and water attractions - slides and jets. About 5 km from Aytos there is the natural landmark of Aytos Grove of Karapelit which is the only artificially planted oak forest in Bulgaria and has existed for more than 400 years. Its basic tree sort is the summer oak, specific to the plains and foothill areas. The name means "black acorn" and comes from the time of the Ottoman rule. On an area of 10 km around it there are no other trees, so the grove looks like an oasis and it is very valuable. There is no historical evidence about its origin, but surveys among the older generation show that the forest has been remembered for at least 4 or 5 generations.
